Research On Subject Librarian Of China's University Library And Disciplinary Construction

Abstract:Theoretical basis of the theory of the subject librarian, the subject building cutting-edge research, the use of the method of case analysis, comparing the status quo of some of the key universities in China subject librarians, and analyze the strengths and weaknesses of their existence, and the corresponding strategy, the subject librarian service discipline, thus contributing to the development of universities with the theoretical and practical significance.The article first discusses the subject librarian and discipline construction theory, the generation of a subject librarian, the meaning of the subject librarian and discipline construction, three aspects of the subject librarian and subject construction, the purpose is to illustrate China's university subject librarian system is an inevitable trend, is also necessary to ensure development of the schools.Followed by use of the method of case analysis, Tsinghua University and other nine major university libraries'subject librarian service status quo were analyzed from the subject librarian's qualifications, service model and service problems in three shows discipline librarian role in promoting the construction of the college disciplinary positive, meaningful.Based on the analysis of nine subject librarian service status, the article sums up the subject librarian to participate in the various channels of the subject building, as well as some institutions the problems and deficiencies.Finally, for these problems and deficiencies, the subject librarian to better serve the subject building response and positioning the role of subject librarian, the logical staring point of the service, the duties of the service, the service content, the depth of services, service locations and means and other aspects, the subject librarian in the future development will put forward.
