With the continuous development of the Internet, the increasing number of users and the growing diversity and broadband of Internet applications, more efficient use of network resources, network traffic load balancing has important significance. While at the same time in the traditional Internet, the IP address of the identity information and location information, property is considered as key reason of causing many problems, which separated mapping is considered to be the dual attributes of an effective way to resolve the duality of IP address. Therefore multi-path routing based on separation-and-mapping to become a hot research topic. In this paper, research on architecture of next-generation Internet Universal Network, in-depth study focusing on the structure of network layer, network components and separation-and-mapping mechanism of network communication layer, designed a multi-path routing based on separation-and-mapping mechanism, according to the functional structure of the multi-path routing mechanism, the multi-path routing mechanism is divided into:the path management information module, path scheduling module, the packet encapsulation module and the packet de-capsulation module. After the completion of the program design, the multi-path routing scheme was implemented based on a prototype system of Universal Network. In this paper multi-path routing scheme implement, according to the characteristics of Universal Network, network equipment implemented in two ways:1the path management information module, path scheduling module, the packet encapsulation module and the packet de-capsulation module was implemented in ASR.2the packet de-capsulation module was implemented in GSR because of the functional characteristics of GSR. At last we built network topology for functional testing of the multi-path routing scheme, the contents of the tests were packet encapsulation module testing, packet de-capsulation module testing and path scheduling module testing of ASR and packet de-capsulation module testing of GSR. The test results show that multi-path routing mechanism achieved the design features in the text, and proved the feasibility of the scheme. The successful implementation of this program provides an effective mechanism for the multi-path routing in Universal Network, and laid a good foundation for the conduct of follow-up.
