The identifier-based universal network is an open, new network system based on the separation of identity information and location information. It solves the problem of ambiguity in IP address in traditional network. In the identifier-based universal network, the access switch router completes the mapping of the access identifier to the route identifier. The access switch router of correspondent node completes the reverse mapping of identifier. In the mapping and the reverse mapping process, the access switch router need to request the distributed mapping system for the corresponding mapping relationship.Because the mapping query resolution delay can affect the efficiency of the terminal communication,it is very important to optimize the basic communication mechanism of the identifier-based universal network and reduce the end-to-end delay. This paper first studies the architecture of the identifier-based universal network, the principle of identifier separation mapping and the principle of mapping query analysis. The delay is a key factor to improve the quality of user service,so this paper analyzes the requirements of the mapping cache presetting mechanism for the delay of the first communication process of the terminal, and proposes the design principle and scheme of the mapping cache presetting mechanism, that is,the cache presetting function is realized by carrying the source mapping relationship in the mapping query packet. On this basis, this paper designs a mapping cache presetting prototype system, and the prototype system is implemented by programming with mapping query receiving module, cache presetting processing module and cache maintenance analysis module. Then, the function and performance test of the prototype system are carried out under the one-to-one simple mapping scene of the access identifier and route identifier, and the function test is carried out for the one-to-n and n-to-one complex mapping scenarios. The test results show that the functions of the system meet the design goal. The performance comparison with the original system shows that after adopting the mapping cache presetting mechanism, the network performance and the CPU utilization of the mapping server is improved.Functional test under complex mapping scenarios indicates that the system supports one-to-n and n-to-one complex mapping functions. Finally, the paper is analyzed and summarized, and some meaningful research directions is put forward.
