Magnetron is a high-power microwave source. The radar system used millimeter-wave magnetron has high antenna gain, high tracking accuracy and precision-guided, anti-interference ability, and many other advantages. So it's widely used in missile guidance, cloud-measuring radar, radiometry, remote sensing, radio-astronomy, terrestrial and satellite communications, electronic warfare, biology and many other fields.With the development of radar technology, in order to improve measurement accuracy and anti-jamming capability of radar systems, many radar systems use the frequency-agile technology. But the frequency-agile magnetron at millimeter wave band is exiguous in China. So in this paper, we'll research the agility way for the millimeter-wave magnetron. The main contents include:1. Compare the tuning configuration and mechanism. Select the tuning way for the millimeter-wave magnetron.2. Improve the tuned components.3. Design a power to make minimum energy consumption.The results of examination show that: Through the optimization for the resonator, using the piezoelectric ceramics and self-lubricating linear bearings, and improving the performance of power, make the magnetrons has two characteristic: adjustable bandwidth (0~700MHz) and adjustable agile-rate (0~570GHz/s).
