Fast scanning mirror (FSM) is widely used in modern laser radar system. With thecontinuous development of IC technology, the demands for the scanning accuracy, scanning angle and response speed of sweeping mirror has been increasing year by year. This paper uses a fast scanning mirror based on piezoelectric ceramics with the enhancedclosed-loop controlling algorithms to achieve the high-precision and high response speedcontrol of output from the scanning mirror. The detailed the overall design and implementation of closed-loop scanningcontrolling system will be introduced:In the phase of circuit design, an8-channel input analog-to-digital converter moduleas well as an8-channel digital-to-analog converter module have been designed; Second, asthe requirements of the algorithm for closed-loop control, designed by the FPGA,SDRAM, FLASH composed of a SOC platform; In the same time, a power module and aController Area Network (CAN) module are also designed in this system. In the SOC design, CPU, RAM, ROM, Avalon bus, as well as IO interface iscomposed of a simple von Neumann architecture, to achieve NIOSII soft-core, so as to useReduced Instruction Set Computing (RISC) to archive complex arithmetic operations. In the design and implementation of the algorithm, the enhanced repeat PIDalgorithm is introduced to complete the precise controlling of scanning mirror. ThroughMatlab simulation, verification of Lab VIEW Simulation and actual system operation, ultimately we archive a two-dimensional the scanning mirror with high precision and fastresponse.
