With the promotion of the communication IP and data services process,mobile communication is transiting from voice services which based on time division multiplexing (TDM), to variety business types such as voice and data,which take the IP-based business as a core.Traditional SDH equipment exposed its inherent flaws,though MSTP could carry IP services,it's IP-based of user-side interface and rigid pipe only,and have low transmission efficiencies.Under the advancement of many conditions, the new device which called PTN emerged to solve the transmission problems of the 3G mobile communications business and the large particles. line business.PTN takes packet switching technology as the core, and has many capabilities such as efficient statistical multiplexing and flexible perception business characteristics,it has ability of differences in quality of service (QoS) also.In addition,PTN could provide end-to-end business management and hierarchical operation emerging equipment maintenance management (OAM),as well as the characteristics of carrier-class protection.During internship,the author had been working for the PTN network building. Combined the content of projection with the knowledge of learned, the author had a study on PTN carrying in the metro transport network.1, Introduced the development context of PTN, summarized the advantages of PTN and the reason of replace SDH/MSTP.2, Two key technologies of PTN, PBT and T-MPLS technology were introduced and compared, at the same time described PTN key technology, which takes T-MPLS as the core,and used by telecommunications operators3, Through research on the existing network of telecom operators and combined with the networking features of the PTN equipment, the location, networking strategies and applied scenarios,which PTN have in the current network were put forward.4, Combined PTN network ability test engineering of a mobile operator, test the capacities of PTN in the current network, Analyze the carrying ability of PTN on the metropolitan transport networks...
