The Pulse Power Source (PPS) technology is one of the main basic sciences of new high-tech. With the development of many new sciences, the PPS technology can be used in many aspects, such as controlled nuclear fusion, laser, high energy electrons, particle acceleration, new weapons and so on.These requirements making the PPS technology developed rapidly.There are many factors affecting the stability and reliability of PPS's working, one of which is a reliable PPS control system. In this topic, the overall design of the PPS control system is proposed after analyzing the principle of the existing experiment equipments. Deciding to use CAN bus as the way of communication and use the fiber as transmission medium. The hardware platform of the head controller is designed on based of the ARM. Designed the CAN bus driver and completed the Linux operating system tailoring and transplantation. The Whole control interface has been designed by Qtopia. The main chip of front-end collecting control equipment is C8051F060. The circuit of data collection of high voltage and high current, charger control, thyristor trigger and external storage are designed. The corresponding software program and the whole control system communication protocol are designed after the hardware circuits are finished.Through the actual experiments, the properties such as reliable and real time of PPS control system have been proved and the system's operating is very convenient. The important information of the system has been detected.
