The frequency stepping radar is transmitting a group of linear change frequency pulses to obtain a large signal bandwidth of the equivalent, so the radar has a high range resolution. The paper mainly researched in sampling and storing echo signal of the millimeter-wave frequency stepping radar and signal processing. The echo signal is used for the Inverse Fast Fourier Transform to obtain the target one-dimensional distance diagram, and gain the target distance, and so on. The process will be completed by MFC programming. The characteristics of the frequency stepping pulse signal and the working principle of millimeter-wave frequency stepping radar were studied firstly. Then the paper sketched the processing of target echo signal. The concept of one-dimensional distance diagram of multi-target scattering centers and the feature of the technology when one-dimensional distance diagram is used to recognize targets were recommended next. After that, the paper researched in the principle and method of using the IFFT to get one-dimensional distance diagram of the frequency stepping radar in detail. The paper introduced the characteristics and working principle of the AC6684 sampling card, and the basic knowledge of MFC programming. Then we mainly researched in using MFC programming to achieve sampling and storing of the target echo signal, and to obtain the target one-dimensional distance diagram when the IFFT is used to process the target echo signal. The program also realizes the target searching within a distance range and target distance measuring. Finally, some simulation experiments have done to ckeck the impact of the one-dimensional distance diagram when the radar waveform parameters changed.
