With the expansion of the human research in the field of sapce, the radar system must have improvement in detecting distance, distance accurancy and resolution.Signals which has the form of linear frequency modulation pulse has a large product of bandwidth and timewidth,it can detect the target in the further distance,what’s more,it can meet the demands in both distance accurancy and range when the system parameters are chosen.The article mainly uses the research methods which combines the theoretical analysis and simulation vertification together. Firstly,the simulation results can evaluate whether the system principle design is correct.Secondly, the structure and parameters are adjusted and controlled in the simulation in order to seek better signal processing technology.The processs not only saves a lot of time,cost and other resources,but also is able to yield twice the result with half the effort.The article mainly does researches at linear frequency modulation pulse compression distance system,including the following sections:the first is the mathematical formula derivation of the transmission and echo signal, signal ambiguity function and its characteristics,the matched filtering and the simulation research in the noise environment,and then use the Matlab/Simulink software platform to do distance system simulation at time domain and frequency domain,which verify the correctness of the theoretical analysis and derivation.then introduce the Altium Designer software and the development process of the FPGA,on the basis of the simulation,design the signal processing circuit based on the Xilinx FPGA and do print and debugging.Finally debug and analyse the circuit on the ISE simulation platform,which include the generation of the LFM signal based on the DDS IP core,the FPGA realization of the pulse compression and the FPGA realization verification of the pulse compression based on the echo data imported from Matlab.
