With the sharp increase of passenger train's speed and railway traffic density, train control system has become the essential technical equipment to guarantee the train's safe and efficient operation. Both the establishment of simulation platform for train control system for high speed railway and optimation research on modeling of train control system's subsystem or function modules can reduce the number of experiments in railway field, short system development cycle and decrease development cost. Besides, simulation system allows people to accomplish some experiments repeately, which are hard to meet or difficult to reoccur in the railway field. As a result, the study and actual appliction of train control system is significant in both theory research and economic value. This paper focuses on modeling of train control system by adopting Multi-Resolution Modeling approach and a HLA-based simulation platform is implement primarily.This paper is mainly about modeling issue of train control system for high speed railway. In order to satisfy the needs of different people from different understanding levels for train control system, a typical scenario in which a traking train group is running toward a station is selected, and Multi-Resolution Modeling mothed is adopted to study the trian control system. The main work includes the proposal of multi-resolution partition for train control system in selected scenario, the built fo mathematical description for multi-resolution models of train control system by using MR-DEVS, the analysis of aggregation-disaggregation process for train control system, the discussion for the issue of maintaining consistency among models which are running concurrently, the promotion of consistency maintenance algorithm based on a attibute classification.The basic framework of a HLA-based simulation federation for train control system for high speed railway is designed in the paper, two methods of multi-trains federate joining in the federation is discussed and what's more, a most reasonable approach is obtained from performance tests. On this basis, a federation object model and a high-level model for train control system is designed respectively, and a simulation platform of train control system for high speed railway is constructed finally. Taking the designing and implement of RBC federate simulation software as an example, the implement process of a HLA-based simulation platform of train control system is present in this paper.The integrated functional test is done among federates in the simulation federation of train control system, and basic functions of the simulation platform are improved. According to the result, the platform has a good interoperability and expandability, which provides a basic platform for future research of train control system for high speed railway.
