The high-speed passenger line with train speed over 300 kilometers per hour is under construction. And traffic lines for passenger which from Wuhan to Guangzhou, Zhengzhou to Xian, as well as Beijing to Shanghai have decided to use CTCS-3 train control system. The CTCS-3 train control simulation and testing platform, can provide a good environment for program design and verification, and also can be used to test the vital equipments in the platform. Multi-train simulation subsystem, based on CTCS-3 train control simulation and testing platform, can be used to test function of the onboard equipment of CTCS-3 train control system. As one subsystem of the platform, the multi-train simulation system can also provide a better testing environment for other subsystems in the platform.The main work accomplished in this paper including: Functional requirements of the multi-train simulation subsystem was analyzed based on the functional requirements of CTCS-3 train control simulation and testing platform and the CTCS-3 onboard equipment; The overall design program of the multi-train control subsystem was proposed based on the functional requirements, including system configuration, structure and interfaces of the system. The detail design of the main functional modules was analyzed; The software of multi-train simulation subsystem was realized based on multiple process technology with C++ Builder 6.0. The realized function mainly including: Simulation trains running safely with the moving authority from the radio block center; Simulation trains activate in the originating station and stop in the terminal station automatically; Automatic and manual operation of the simulation trains; Traction calculation; The debugging was completed between the multi-train simulation subsystem and other subsystems in the CTCS-3 train control simulation and testing platform and the objectives of the design was achieved.
