Highway tunnel is a special section, and there is so much environment difference between internal and external tunnel, therefore the illumination is needed to set to remove the visual problems of drivers, and ensure the tunnel safety. At present most of the tunnel illumination systems are designed simply, which can't reach the real-time adjustment of the internal brightness according to the outside luminance. It doesn't only bring hidden trouble to driving safety, but also cause a large amount of electric energy waste.The development is introduced about the current tunnel illumination and lighting lamps, and aiming the existing problems of tunnel lighting control system, we design the intelligent illumination control system. The system makes full use of electric technology communication technology to control and manage the illumination lamps effectively. We analyze characteristics of all kinds of tunnel lighting source to determine the LED as lighting lamp. And then according the changes of the traffic and outside brightness, the stepless control of LED tunnel lamps is achieved to smooth brightness of each section to fit the curve of human eyes, and then the data transmission is realized using bus communication mechanism.The system mainly includes computer monitoring center, testing equipment, central controller, node controller and LED driving power. The data is collected by testing equipment and then is passed to monitor center, which processes the data and send commands to central controller. Central controller broadcasts commands to node controllers and controls the LED brightness by adjusting the input voltage of LED driving power. The central controller communicates with node controllers by CAN bus, and communicates with host computer by serial port.The communication protocols are developed among the central controller, the node controller and host computer, and the hardware circuits are designed, which include the selection of microprocessor, communication module design, D/A conversation circuit design, LCD display design, data storage module design, enlarge circuit design, and show some detailed circuit schematic diagram. The system adoptedμC/OS-Ⅱoperating system on the central controller for embedded software design, and analyzed the working principle and transplantation method ofμC/OS-Ⅱ, and introduced the overall structure and design process of software, completed function design of each module and system task partitioning. Finally, the main content of this paper is summarized, and analyze the system deficiencies and put forward the improvement methods.
