| For managing of the special item--books, the utility management is proposed in this paper, and the book utility function is put forwards on the basis of original utility function. And a parameter is taken in the books utility function for measuring the impact, which called book-usage factor. The relationship between the book-usage factor and books utility is also compared in this paper from a theoretical point of view. To show the effect of book-usage factor in practical, a library information management system data experiment is imported in this paper.Books are important medium for human's emotional communication, knowledge access and experience in heritage, and are big contribution to human civilization. Recent years, the growing capital investment and the growing number of collections each year resulted in the decline of the utilization of books in library. It's difficult for library to improve the effect of the use of books. From a practical perspective, with the using of the Bellman equation, a mathematical model of book utility is established, which is approved to show that evaluation of the current books and books will be published. From the mathematical model, a parameter value--book-usage factor is extracted in this paper as books evaluation model, and the application prospects is analyzed through data experiments in the Library Information Management System to show the importance of book-usage factor in evaluation of books. And countermeasures and suggestions of the application is also been given in this paper.Book-usage factor makes evaluation among books with same topic but different kinds can be done; evaluation among the books with same book usage factor but different topics can be done. So it provides a better ranking rule for books and it makes the university library resource sharing can be achieved on the allocation of resources. |
