According to the process flow and control requirement of Sewage Disposal Project for National Electric Power Control Center at Xidan, and the development trends of the world sewage disposal control systems, the overall design of this sewage disposal is presented. In this design, Industrial Personal Computer (IPC) and Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) are used to compose the upper and local control systems. The local control systems, which are composed by PROFIBUS-DP control system, communicate with the upper control system by Industrial Ethernet.In this project, SIEMENS S7-315-2DP PLC is used as master station, high density configuration modularization I/O station-ET200M as slave station and CP343-1 as communication module, which make up PROFIBUS-DP control system. In the development environment of STEP7, hardware configuration and the corresponding program development are completed so that the neutral water disposal system, the soft water disposal system and the drinking water disposal system can be auto-controlled according to the technologic requirements.Yanhua industrial personal computer (IPC), IPC-610L, is used as the upper computer, in which SIEMENS CP1613 card is embeded in order to communicate with the local control system. The supervisory and control program is developed by using WinCC6.0, which is also a product from SIEMENS, in order to monitor process flow, parameter setting, parameter recording and query, parameter reporting and failure alarm. Fuzzy self-tuning PID algorithm and it's simulation on matlab are studied and the superiority of the fuzzy self-tuning PID algorithm compared with traditional PID algorithm for large time-delay control objects is proved. Using the Global Script of WinCC6.0 to program in order to implement the fuzzy self-tuning PID control of pH value is also described in this paper.In this Sewage Disposal Project, industrial Ethernet and Profibus-DP, IPC and PLC, WinCC6.0 and STEP7 are used together not only to make profit of their unique merits but also to shorten the project development time, reduce the development cost and realize integrating management and control of the Control Center.
