This dissertation focuses on visual modeling and simulation of space operation environment, including 3D model creation, model drive in visual simulation, IR imaging simulation, virtual scene display and implementation of visual simulation system, etc.. This research is carried out in the following aspects:Firstly, 3D entity models such as Sun, Moon, Earth, spacecrafts, and kinds of special effect models based on MultiGen Creator are established. Some problems needing attention in modeling are summarized.Secondly, two visual driving methods—driving 3D models directly and callback functions are expatiated. With the star database in the STK software and by callback functions, celestial background is simulated. Some special effects of space operation environment are also simulated on the basis of particle system thoughts.Thirdly, the radiometric equation for space target is put forward after the analysis of outer environmental effects, and the IR imaging simulation of space targets by SensorVision and SensorWorks is addressed. Finally, the simulation results are analyzed.Fourthly, the frame is designed and the program is realized for visual simulation system. In programming, an integrative project syncretizing Vega and HLA is presented to enhance the visual system's real time performance. Three key problems including the attribute forecast method, attitude control of spacecrafts and visualization of space debris based on STK are discussed respectively. This dissertation successfully applies visual simulation technology in the simulation field of space operation environment and lays foundation for visualizing the simulation system of space operation as well.
