As an important supporting technology, simulation is becoming one of means improving army battle effectiveness and realizing military modernization. Visual Simulation is an immersing interactive enviroment based on calculable information, it uses graphics and image technique in computer, according to the purpose of simulation, construct the 3D model of the Simulation object and replay the real enviroment, to achieve a vivid effect. But Military Simulation has its speciality in application needness. There are three primary application, the first is battle simulation and training, the second is evaluating the efficiency of weapon system and weapon counterwork, the third is research on new concept weapon and new generation weapon. Relative to other simulation application, Visual Simulation has mass calculation, so it higher demand on real-time. On the other hand, if Visual Simulation System has well architecture, then by way of modifing its part content, we can transplant it to other simulation application. So research reusible and transplantible Visual Simulation System is one of current study importance. Just basing on above tow points, the main research work of this paper are as follows. This paper had discussed correlation technique to implement Visual Simulation System, including 3D graphics API standard-OpenGL, 3D modeling technique, computer animation, Scene Driving Engine. Then this paper put forward the architecture of war field enviroment running platform. Next, this paper explained the means to extending Vega module. At last, this paper discussed the design and implement of one kind of Scene Driving Engine.
