With the popularity of computers and the development of network technology,Peoplehave come to return to reason, realizing that the teaching effect achieved by the singleteaching mode is inferior to that by multi-teaching mode. By combing the advantages ofboth traditional learning method and that based on network, a new learning mode isobtained-blended learning. Blended learning refers to a strategy which applies a variety oflearning theories, techniques, means and application ways to teaching.It depends on the learning environment whether blended learning can developsmoothly. Therefore, virtual learning environment is a key factor to it. Suitable virtuallearning environment plays a significant role in the application of blended learning. Moodle,a free and open source course management system, provides teachers with a platform ofcourse management and multi-teaching modes. It is a virtual learning environment whichpromotes the cooperation and communication of both teachers and students.Based on an intensive study of blended learning theories, this paper compares andanalyzes research on the blended learning mode by scholars at home and abroad,summarizing the advantages and disadvantages of the current blended learning mode. Onthe basis of the above-mentioned, the paper also analyzes the present situations of highervocational schools and students studying there in China, constructing a comparativelycomprehensive blended learning mode. When blended learning activities are carried out,teachers are supposed to utilize and perfect it continuously.In the process of applying thenew teaching mode, the author sets up a virtual Moodle learning platform, takes thecourse-C language program design for example, designs the teaching process and a varietyof learning activities, and explores the corresponding learning resources.In the end, theauthor gives an analysis of the teaching effect by means of questionnaire.It reveals thatblended learning mode not only enriches teaching activities but also improves teachingeffect significantly.
