The Design And Implementation Of Comprehensive Alarm Management System For Mobile Network

With the rapid development of information technology, mobile communications play a bigger role in People's daily life. The scale of the mobile network is growing larger, the structure of network has become increasingly complex, so mobile network maintenance has become increasingly complex. How to ensure the safe operation of network becomes one of the most important problems of mobile operators.Mobile network maintainers gather device alarm information by network management software which provided by equipment manufacturers. Obtain the operation of equipment by the analysis of alarm information, mobile maintainer complete network maintenance. The software can only present alarm original information and can't storage alarm information. Because of these weaknesses of software, the work efficiency of network maintenance is low.In this paper, according to the mobile network maintainer's work demands, the system can realize comprehensive alarm management of three exchange equipments. System uses C/S structure and completion port network model. The system can effectively and reliably collect alarm information based on Telnet protocol. The system mainly consists of two parts: server and client. The server include alarm information collection, alarm statistics, alarm information storage function module, realize the real-time collection of alarm information. The client provides alarm information filtering and presentation, the alarm information inquiry, NE management, user management, parameters configuration, log management. Server communicates with client by UDP protocol, ensure alarm real-time present. Besides, the system also includes DT flow, library function and report generation function. During the development of system, software development platform is Microsoft Visual Studio 2008, VC++is used as the programming language, and the SQL Server 2005 is used as database.Comprehensive alarm management system has run for a year, access equipment nearly 100, acquisition cycle is 5 minutes, the alarm information is 10000 per cycle, alarm storage is 1.5 million per month. The system meets the mobile network maintainer's work demands and improves the efficiency of network maintenance work. The system owns perfect stability and reliability and meets the design requirements.
