Design And Implementation Of Leave And Resumption Management System

Today, with the development of computer technology, especially the progress in computer network technology and database technology, the way of people's work and lifestyles have changed a lot. The application of network technology makes the communication between computers possible, and the application of database technology enables people to store data, retrieve information, analyse information more effectively. The army's interior jobs are generally featured as pressing and high-intensity. Thus, how to save time and improve efficiency has become a new direction of the development of routine. Take the rule of leave and resumption as an example, the general procedures are as follow:the soldier who wants to ask for leave must report to his superiors step by step, and then his request will be documented and he will be given a permission to leave. The staff who are in charege of the leaving system must check the documents every day in case there might be some soldiers who did not go back in time.There are mainly two drawbacks of this traditional way of manual operation:On the one hand, the staff have to do immense work, therefore, some mistakes are inevitable; on the other hand, it's not quite convenient for someone who want to check the data or do some analysis.This article is based on the fact of the management of leave and resumption in the army. By using the method of use-case modeling to conduct the system requirement analysis, choosing the C/S architecture, using Delphi 7.0 as a Front-end development tool, using SQL Server 2005 as backstage database, and using ADO technology for database accessing, the writer designs and realizes the leave and resumption management system. The system includes four modules, they are system administration module, basic information management module, leave and resumption management module, statistics inquiring management module. The first one is primarily to achieve creating ueser, deleting user and setting password; The second one is primarily to achieve adding, deleting and modiying basic information of applicants, such as names, positions, units and so on; The third one is primarily to achieve the management of leave application, leave approval and resumption; The last one is primarily to achieve statistical and inquirying work. The data of leave and resumption is through computer management, it's convenient to save, and in the same time, it also improves the efficiency of the relevant staff. The commander can control the overall situation.
