Safety is the eternal theme of civil aviation, although modern aircraft has a revolutionary improvement with many aspects and the plane itself security has greatly improved, but the atmospheric effects on flight still exist ,one of them is the low-flying aircraft encountering icing. Aircraft icing refers to when the plane is flying in the environment where containing supercooled water droplets, some parts of the fuselage surface produce ice accumulation phenomenon. Aircraft icing may worsen Aircraft Aerodynamics, manifested as increased the resistance and reduced the lift and increased the flying oil consumption, having an effect on the instrument of static pressure system, and having a severe impact on the safety and control of the aircraft.This paper based on the reviews of the status quo of the business aviation aircraft icing forecast ,analyzing the demand of aircraft icing numerical forecast system ,detailing the entire software system development and design process and the implementation of the system function modules ,focusing on the development of aircraft icing of numerical prediction systems .This paper first introduces the influence of aircraft icing on flight ,summarizing the methods of aircraft icing forecast and the status of domestic and international aircraft icing prediction system ; describing all the kinds of key technologies used in the development of aircraft icing numerical prediction system , introduced Visual Basic.Net language ,GRADS graphics techniques and forecasting technology features. This paper analysed the requirements of the numerical prediction of aircraft icing system and the analysis of the job duties of civil aviation meteorological standards and procedures, and analysis of system functions.Put the system into three modules including WAFS data processing, ice accretion prediction and data display. Based on the the system requirements analysis and system functional modules analysis, formating the overall concept of the system's design. WAFS data processing module is mainly extract the required temperature, humidity and other data from the WAFS module forecast products, ice forecasting module mainly used the aircraft icing prediction algorithms recommended by the International Civil Aviation Organization. use of atmospheric temperature and humidity dates in the output of WAFS numerical prediction products to predict ice accretion, the data display module is digitizer the ice index results calculated by the system. The system using Grads software made into graphics, graphics showing the flight level icing plan and chart color fill area is ice area. Based on the system design, this article details the use of Visual Basic.Net as a development tool to develop aircraft icing process of numerical weather prediction system.Aircraft icing prediction system is based on WINDOWS platform, using VB language to develop. Data management adopts client server mode to guarantee that the system is reliable and safe, and convenient for data management. System operation is simple,so the users can operate it easily. The product of the system is text and graphic information of ice accretion, which is convenient for aviation weather forecaster, airline flight dispatchers and related persons of air traffic control department to use. Research on aircraft icing numerical prediction system helps aircraft to avoid icing area timely, to select the optimal route, to avoid the impact of icing weather, to improve aviation safety and to reduce airline operation cost.
