With the rapid development of the national economy, the future grid will trend toward the development of smart grid, which requires the various components of the grid should meet the requirements of the smart grid, therefore, as an important part of the grid, power management integrated automation will also be the future direction of the specific development.Among them, the meter reading improvement and development of power management integrated automation is very important directions. Early mainly artificially excessive way, this approach will not meet the growing level of economic and security indicators on the meter reading requirements, therefore, how to improve and implement more efficient meter reading is the focus of future research.Have based this paper focuses on a new automatic meter reading technology (Automatic Meter Reading, AMR), the technical program using General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) technology, combined with the single-chip, to achieve a remote wireless automatic meter copying. Electricity metering system consists of user terminals, collector, GPRS communications module, remote monitoring center and so on.This form of automatic meter reading system uses a multipoint structure, measured between the terminal and the collector is connected via RS-485, came to accept the host's instructions, the instructions, or upload data to control power; collector and remote between the monitoring center via GPRS module with TCP / IP way connected, real-time monitoring center received instructions to collect user data and control electric power users; monitoring center server through the host software on the users real-time data acquisition, receiving, analyzing, storage and display to control and detect irregularities electricity consumption behavior.Test found that the remote wireless automatic meter reading system has a certain marketing value.
