Coal plays the most important role in the energy consumption in China. The share of coal in the final energy consumption accounts for 70-80%. The share will continue to increase as economic growth in China and energy demands expand. Power, metallurgical, construction materials and chemical industries are the main consumers. Coal is rich in reserves in our country, primarily concentrates in the middle and west areas, while lack in the east coast and southeast areas. In the last several decades, a large number of coals were needed to transport to east coast and southeast areas. To solve this issue, we try to set up a scientific and highly efficient logistics management system for coal transportation.Currently, informatization of coal logistics management has become a trend of contemporary world. After advanced management concepts and e-commerce have combined, they released big effects. Third-party logistics application based on web will reduce the operating costs and improve the management standard.This article introduces the coal logistics management system according to J2EE. This system can control the whole logistics process. It can not only integrate all kinds of transport resources to raise the efficiency of logistics, but also keep the stock of coal at a reasonable level to promote the effective use of resources and avoiding the resource waste.
