Research On The General Record Types During The Republic Of China

The Republic of China is a transitional period between feudal society and socialist society in China and it is also an essential part of the Chinese history. During this period, the society was very confused and the changes of regime were frequent. According to the situation, all the governors paid close attention to the reform of records and archives, in order to consolidate his rule and strengthen the administrative management of the country. Moreover, the revision and promulgation of forms and formulas of official documents stood a key position in every reform. This paper is aimed at the research on the setting up of general record types in different forms and formulas of official documents to tell the process of their origin, development, evolution, division and integration through the analysis of their change in number and function. What's more, we could get to know the politics and society situation at that time. On the basis of the research, this paper also summarizes the change law of general record types from multi-angle so as to provide theoretical basis for the normalization of the setting up and the use of record types presently.
