Study Of MIS For Xi'an Labor Technical School

In recent years, vocational education has been promoted by Chinese government. It becomes the primary aim for Xi'an Labor Technical School to employ information technologies to further develop the school, improve the school's working efficiency, change the management methods, and find foothold in the competition.In this paper, we analyzed the current state of Management Information Systems (MIS) in Xi'an Labor Technical School, organized those separated data systems in each departments, according to the theory of MIS and its methodology. Based on this, we also proposed a plan for ameliorating the school's MIS. Firstly, we reviewed the background, organization structure, developing strategy, and current state on MIS of Xi'an Labor Technical School. Secondly, we analyzed the current state on MIS of the school, sought problems and their reasons, through field investigation or checking historical documents. We then proposed a plan for ameliorating the school's MIS, after analyzing working process of each department. At last, we pointed out items that should be noted when carry out the scheme, and possible solutions. Based on MIS theory, this paper proposes planning strategy, principles for the MIS in Xi'an Labor Technical School, which would be also useful for other schools.
