Research And Application Of Mobile-Device-Oriented And Multi-Source Publish/Subscribe Model

In recent years, with the development of computer networks, mobile devices, as well as capabilities of application integration and information integration, new ways of acquiring information through mobile devices appear more important. Targeted at multi-source dynamic information integration and the concrete requirements of the national information integration network organized by the Ministry of Science and Technology, the thesis focuses on information customization and subscription for the general public equipped with mobile devices. In this scenario, as a result of multiple sources, large amount of data, quick changes and individuation of science and technology information, the traditional keyword-based retrieval and classification directory can not satisfy the needs of users. Thus, novel and effective ways of information resources organization have been raised to help users to get needed resources more easily. This thesis uses mobile phone newspaper as a general scenario, extends the Pub/Sub mechanism, and focuses on systems architecture and rule management for the Pub/Sub process in order to let users use information subscription and broadcast more efficiently.The main contents and specific contributions are as follows:Firstly, the traditional Pub/Sub model was modified and extended; a new method supported layered browsing, personalized customization and Information dynamic collection was proposed. Resources classification organization by auto faceted classification, Its main purpose is to solve the problem of multi-source data effective organization. We found different data sources with large difference, which can not be organized in one or more resource catalogues, so we proposed auto faceted classification by self characteristics of data setsSecondly, data acquisition and mobile subscription rules and the engine of rule execution were analysesd and transformated; a Pub/Sub system suitable of scientific and technical information was designed and implemented, which can self-organize information sources by a certain rule during the Pub/Sub. Through data acquisition, rules definition and execution to complete the actual implementation of scientific information services.Finally, the implemented Pub/Sub system has been trial-used in national science and technology information service network. The analysis shows the appraisement to the application.
