Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) is an inspiring branch of automatic identification technology which has a wide application in the fields such as industrial automation, commercial management, traffic transport, exactly position and so on. The technology mainly refers some domain, for instant:integrated circuit, wireless communication, database and so on. RFID technology has many advantages such as contactless communication, rapid and efficient recognizing object, suitable for inferior surroundings. RFID system made up of reader and tag. The reader can receive information form tags or transfer information to tags by radio frequency communication. It also can share information with computer database by means of the hardware interface such as serial port, USB port, Ethernet, Radio Frequency and WLAN. The tag is not requiring a fixed power support. It can absorb the energy from the radio frequency carrier. The tag has the storage named EEPROM which can preserve the data when the power supply abrupt suspend.This paper mainly presents the research and design about information terminal system of RFID. Firstly introduced the concept, application and development. And then stated the realization of the whole system is as below:I divided the system into four parts:main controller based on embedded system, the sub module of radio frequency signal read and write, the sub module of text to speech voice synthesize and the sub module of graphic user interface & database. The main controller is designed to cooperate with other sub module.; In order to execute the application software and database, the real time operating system "Windows CE 5.0" was be transplanted. The RF read/write sub module which can communication with RFID tag composed by Integrated Chip of FM1702 and Micro Controller Unit of Atmega8L.The voice synthesize sub module used the integrated chip of OSYNO6188 to realize TTS convert.While the information terminal system of RFID's hardware environment setup complete, it need to programming and debugging the application software. The software involved in the design of Human Machine Interactive Interface and manipulates the database. Finally, it sums up and analyzes the research contents and the shortage of this thesis; put forward a direction for further research.
