The Research And Realization Of Localized Windows CE.Net Embedded Operating System

Microsoft Windows CE.Net occupies the dominant status in embedded operating systems. Chinese version of Windows CE.Net already widely applied in the domestic market. Along with popularization of embedded intelligence equipment, realizations of localized Windows CE.Net have become the important technical issue which urgently needs to solve in the development of Xinjiang national economy and the society.This paper includes the summary of researching on the localization of Windows CE.Net, the mainly solved issue as below:1) Combine the development experience of realization of Uyghur information processing based on Windows desktop version, has analyzed and dissected the main system structure of Windows CE.Net, Has mastered the key technology just like System model, internationalization,localization of Windows CE.Net Operating.2) Through dissected Font mechanism of Windows CE.Net, has established the Uyghur fonts, and has provided the foundation of display, print Uyghur scripts on Windows CE.Net.3) Through developed input method procedure, has realized the Uyghur keyboard entry and the Software-based keyboard entry on Windows CE.Net.4) Through analyzed the internationalization and the localization mechanism of Windows CE.Net, has designed Uyghur localization environment, and used the compile and decompile function of resources compiler, has extracted Windows CE.Net graphical user interface resources and localized them, Has constructed Uyghur graphical user interface resources which based on Windows CE.Net platform, and Realized the support of Uyghur graphical user interface on Windows CE.Net.5) Provided the support of Uyghur writing for application which based on Windows CE.Net, has realized custom-made to Windows CE.Net kernel and burning it in embedded environment which based on Windows CE.Net, has completed the fully localization of Windows CE.Net. The Development of localized Windows CE.Net has the vital role to Bridging the gap of information technology between Xinjiang and international, the domestic technological development, the Xinjiang economic development, the interrelated industry development and the social progress.
