In today's world, the logistics industry is within the scope of the fastest growing industries. Along with the rapid development of economy, the Chinese market logistics market is growing rapidly. In the study of logistics theory, site selection has been a hot issue, because whether the location of logistics center is appropriate will directly affact the entire logistics system's efficiency and benefit. Scientific and reasonable locations can not only help enterprise save cost of operation and improve efficiency, but also provide clients with much better services. At the same time, because of the influence of different commodity resources distribution, demand conditions, the conditions of transport and natural conditions, establishing a logistics center in different places will have different influence on the whole society and the economic. The Geographic Information System (GIS) technology is a new technology System that will comprehensively analyse geographical spatial data, and it will help the modern logistics management gradually into the intelligent management field. Its powerful spatial analysis and synthetic decision-making function allows the Geographic Information System technology become a best tool to set location of logistics facility. After arranging of the location theory research results at home and abroad, the essay analysed traditional location model and understand models of different scopes and characteristics. By utilizing the most authoritative geographic information system software-ArcGIS, developed by ESRI, integrating System Optimization Model and geographic information space analysis technique, the thesis is intended to analyze in detail the site selection of logistics center, apply different models to logistics centers. After the study of allocation, the paper studied the path optimization based on MATLAB in order to provide much more help for logistics enterprises.
