In programming development tool, in consideration of usability, performance and advancement, select ASP.NET which the new generation of development technology of Microsoft. The ASP.NET adopt Separation Technique in processing data code and display data code of user. It provides convenience for programmer to code background processing code and interface separately, can improve efficiency radically. Thirdly, in selection of database management system, choose the best system SQL Server 2005. At the last, online video courses subsystem adopt Windows Media, streaming media broadcasting adopt video -on-demand. After stendents log in, entry "online video courses" function module, the system can auto list course information of this test of the students, click the "view", they can study the video courses. And it can simple effectively realize the modern distance education which based on vivid multimedia teaching.This text design the overall structure of Self-study Examination Management Information System. According to the fact of Adult Edecation Department, this system adop B/S/S three tier architecture, process development in Windows Server 2003 by ASP.NET. And design system overall structure. This system include 12 subsystem: system management, students log in system, inform management system, distance education management system, Adult Education Department introduction system, teacher resources system, major introduction system, recruitment information system, Self-study Examination forum, organization system, instation help system. It introduce their function. secondly, it design the database of Self-study Examination Management Information System.Then in the Human-computer interaction, process design from navigation bar, ManMachine Conversation, Keyboard Entry to improve work efficiency and security. And it design user authorization. This system design three types of user, they have different authorization, can visit different function mode in system. Last it use the encrpytion tachniques to improve security of system.This system adopt advanced development technique, realize functions perfectly and have strong practical utility. It has Human-computer interaction and friendly interface. Even though in a improving and testing step, it has obtained unanimous approval in this testing process. This system made Self-study Examination Management of Adult Education Department easy to operating, improve efficiency of Adult Education Department, reduce the working intensity, at the same time,provide better condition of study for students. But this system also have some problem in practice using: such as data transmission is without consider of security now. And in the future, it should process encrypting. In addition as the increasing user, heighten forum communication subsystem and add auto-answer mode to solvethe learning disorder that due to teachers and students are separate in geographic position. The next step, it will go on systenm testing, and collect user opinion. In order to optimize the whole system, it will process improve system aim at the above disadvantage.
