The self-study examination of higher education in Sichuan Province was founded in 1983.For more than 30 years,with its strict quality control and sound reputation,a high degree of attention and influence has been maintained,and a large number of talents have been nurtured for the country.With the rapid development of information technologies,as the core of the management of the self-study examination,the management of examination records has been upgraded from the previous human-based system to an automated intelligent system supported by computers.Compared with the current management information system(MIS),the Self-study examination Information management system(SSEIMS)designed and developed under this project aims to adapt to the change in policies and management model of the self-study examination of higher education,in consideration of the increasing numbers of examination candidates and school locations,the aging of the management equipment,and the lack of up-to-date technical means.The new system better integrates with the development of the modern society and the national reform policies,and further promotes scientific,standardized and efficient examination management.It is under such context that this project is carried out,to better serve the future candidatesThis project is carried out based on a detailed investigation and analysis on the MIS currently used in Sichuan,combined with the actual work of the current self-study examination,aiming to make a technical analysis and demand-related discussion for the design and development of the SSEIMS.On this basis,a specific designing plan is developed,and development tools are selected.The system is constructed with the J2EE(Java2 Platform Enterprise Edition)three-tier architecture,based on the open source framework SSM(SpingMVC,Spring,Mybatis),with its data storage assisted by the high-performance Oracle11 g database products.The system is designed with the B/S design mode,achieving high performance,high security,high concurrency,big data management,and other goals.The system is divided into five modules: examination file management,course exemption management,course replacement management,graduation management and transfer management of examination records.Its potential usersinclude the provincial administration of Sichuan,the city(prefecture)education management department or the university management department,the county(or city/district)education administration department,and the examination candidates.The management and operation objectives are set in accordance with the different authority levels.This project is carried out to improve the MIS,designing and developing a more practical system for the self-study examination in Sichuan,making it flexible,efficient,scientific and secure.Based on the current progress of development and the test results,the system is feasible.Upon completion,the system will improve the existing examination management model,further standardize the working process,improve the working efficiency,and promote the smooth progress and development of the self-study examination management in Sichuan.
