Informatization is the significant change from traditional pattern to networksurvival pattern for the modern social production and life way, this change haveoffered each social main parts unprecedented surviving space to share technicaladvance and information resource together and raise labor productivity and life quality.For every countries of world, informatization becomes a inevitable tendency.On this foundation, Management Information System (MIS) have popularizedfurther to all trades and professions in modern society, and MIS has become the MISof computer in fact, because of the quick development of computer technology. TheMIS is a new subject of continuous development and thought generally in currentstage that MIS is the system that forms and is used to manage information by personand computer equipment or other information handling means. Through using themanagement information system supported with computer tech can raise speed andaccuracy to handle information, reduce the cost of information handling, so makeinformation become the resource of enterprise and create value. Therefore, men canraise the competition ability of enterprise.Now, the self-taught for examination develops vigorously, and the number ofmajors increase every year, new varieties and forms of examination create continually.There is a stable level of the number of people that take part in the exam in our city.Facing this kind of situation, the examination records management method mainlywith manpower has become the bottleneck that keeps back the development of theself-taught for examination. Establishing the new examination affair and examinationrecord management system, realizing computer to completely manage every link ofexamination record are the chief tasks that have become the informatizationconstruction.In this thesis, I introduce the history development and characteristics of thehigher education for self-taught examination, and discuss how to establish the modernmanagement idea and management system of self-taught examination, and discuss thespecific contents of management methods and modern tools of self-taughtexamination using MIS theories and skills. My purpose is to research and develop ascientific, high efficient, quick and safe MIS of self-taught examination suiting themanagerial requirement of Tianjin self-taught examination. I analyze the functions ofMIS self-taught examination, and set up its model structure in my thesis. After thesystem established, the traditional management pattern can be changed, the data canbe handled with the further standardization, and the working efficiency inexamination management can be raised.
