With the rapid development of China's power industry, the large air-cooled turbogenerator's market demand and its stand-alone capacity are increasing continuously. Generator bar as an important part of the generator has been put forward higher requirements on the aspect of processing quality. The generator bar's hole pressure machine is a special equipment of mechatronics on the generator bar production line. The intelligent monitoring system of the hole pressure machine, designed by this project, which is used for the processing of 330MW large generator's rotor bar is specially designed for the Jinan power equipment factory. In this paper, for the existing processing equipment's shortcomings such as poor flexibility, low degree of automation, low precision and low productivity, the control scheme of IPC+PLC can greatly improve the system's degree of flexibility and automation. Using the control scheme of fuzzy PID, it can improve the system's response speed and positioning accuracy. The simulation result and the site commissioning result show that, this intelligent monitoring system that has been designed meet the requirements of generator bar's processing technology and the function that the machine to the control system.The main design work in this paper includes the following aspects:(1) According to the functional requirements of the control system, determining the overall design plan, making the equipment meet the requirements of production site and production technology.(2) The hardware design of the monitoring system, which mainly includes the PLC system's design and the selected of the servo system and the IPC. And introducing the system's anti-jamming measures in detail.(3) The monitoring system's software design task includes two parts which are PLC control and PC monitoring programs' design. This paper focuses on the PLC control program's programming ideas and the compositions in the system. In the programming of the PC, expounding the communication methods which between the monitoring system and the PLC, and the building process of the SQL database. Finally, introduced the monitoring screen's design of the control system.(4) This paper describes the conventional PID and fuzzy PID control theories in detail. Using Matlab7.0 to simulate the AC servo system as the methods of conventional PID and fuzzy PID respectively. The simulation results show that, using the fuzzy PID can get the system some benefits like fast response, high regulation accuracy and good steady-state performance. To get help from the fuzzy PID control theory, and debugging the servo system, the system operates steadily.
