In order to increase market competitiveness and expand market share, Shanghai Automation Instrumentation Co., decided to develop the SUPMAX800D control system on the basis of the SUPMAX800 control system.This master thesis focuses on the design and realization of the internal communication in the SUPMAX800D Distributed Control System (DCS). It primarily contains the general design of the project and the details of the design of the hardware and the software. And according to the project's requirement, it provides the test plans and the results, analyzes the problems,solves the problems during the development process. In the end, it summarizes the project and makes a prospect of the project.Firstly, the master thesis describes the communication theory, the approach, and the protocol of the internal communication, meanwhile, analyzes the baud rate error in the part of general design. Secondly, it includes how to select the CPU, how to realize the hardware interface circuits and the hardware redundancy, how to design the RS485 repeaters in the part of the hardware design. Thirdly, in the part of the software design, it includes the introduction of the development platform for the software, the design of the main program of communication, the design of interrupting program, and the design of the redundancy for the communication. Finally, it provides the test methods and the results, and makes a summary and prospect of the development of this project in the future.The SUPMAX800D distributed control system is secure and stable. It has high-performance and low-cost, which enhance the competitiveness in the product market.
