Abstract/Summary:
With the development of industry and science, the contents of environment monitoringfield from industrial pollution sources gradually developing large scale. Althoughenvironmental monitoring is drawing increasing attention, but the new technologies andmethods is still in the stage of research and development. Mainly artificial and semi-automaticmethod gather environmental factor, inefficient and low precision. Due to the requiredsynchronization and continuation in time, wide space and multiple measuring points,low-power and low-cost, so the existing technology and methods unappeasable the conditionsabove. Application of Zigbee wireless transmission technology which have low powerconsumption, intelligence organization, synchronous monitoring, low cost and othercharacteristics, can solve real-time and automatic measurement, automatic transmission, visualdisplay, etc.This topic with Zigbee wireless network communication protocol basis for build aenvironment monitoring platform in wireless sensor network. It relying on forest environmentalof Purple Mountain botanical garden and campus environmental, developing system forcontinuously monitoring in temperature, humidity, illumination, the concentration of carbondioxide and other environmental factor. Analysising communication quality and data reliabilityin the platform, validated the feasibility of the platform used in the environmental monitoring.The main content and innovation as follows. Firstly, design a hardware module whichsensor part and control part are separated as two independent modules in the hardware modulebased on MSP430. And establish standardization interface which suitable for environmentmonitoring, easy to add all kinds of sensors. Secondly, the real-time visualization and control ofthe system that make user monitoring and control this data in server. Finally, using TinyOSwith operating system and programming language NesC for software development. All of theseworks make the platform have good compatibility and portability from software to hardware,which can add sensors conveniently and according to different environment monitoring.Through a series of experiments and debugging, analysising the data gathered, finding that thedata are believable and valuable. Proof that this platform is feasible and superiority to be usedin environmental monitoring.
