Research On The Organization Model And Organzaion Evolution Of Holonic Multi-Agent System

The concept of holon reflects that an entity is autonomy as a"whole"and at the same time cooperative as a"part". Since it was put forward in 1967, as a new modeling element combining the ideas of systematology and reductionism, the methodology behind it has been more and more regarded as an effective one in the field of analyzing and designing complex systems. Holon has been gradually catching the attention from scholars from the field of Artificial Intelligence and Manufacturing System, and it has been studied broadly in the field of Intelligent Manufacturing System.Holonic Multi-Agent System (HMAS) was first studied in 1999. With a growing interest in the organization aspect of Multi-Agent System (MAS), the inherent flexibility, adaptability and other characteristics are approved by many researchers. However, the research of HMAS is not wide and thorough enough.To research the organizational behaviors of a complex system facing a dynamic task environment, following work is developed the in this paper:Using the concept of holon, an organization model in HMAS is proposed, which is more flexible than those in traditional work. The model could support self-organization well so that make the system more suitable for a dynamic task environment;Task decomposition and task allocation methods are studied, based on the proposed model, the task allocating methods and performance measure method of an organization in HMAS are analyzed;Based on the task allocating methods and performance measure method of an organization, a self-organizing method in HMS is presented to deal with a dynamic task environment; an experimental analysis is conducted, comparing the method with three other, and the results show that the method put forward by this paper is effective and adaptable.The organization model and organization evolution method in HMAS involves MAS, Holon Theory, Complex System, Organization Theory, Task Allocation and many other fields, and there is a long way to develop and perfect it. In a word, it is not only the need of practical application, but also the inevitable trend of the theory development. There will be more and more scholars pay attention to this subject.
