Android System, released in Nov. 2007 by Google, has already gained the high-level of market rate becoming the Hit-top among all the Smart Phone Systems. It, goes closer to people's life, working as the major way of information inflowing step by step. Apart from the navigator, Software widens the scales for customers to choose from with the rapid spreading of private cars; it allows function via Smart Phone, together with the cost descending and more information. Commonly, most of the navigation software in market has some drawbacks such as occupy a large space, and the data of map is not comprehensive as well. It may lead to not so magnificent experience for some users. Google Map, as the ancestor of online map, all the information employed is comprehensive and accurate.Modestly, it is a tough topic in Metropolis that Traffic jam results in various society troubles and activities limitations. Thus this dilemma calls for further consideration about Information Technology in Traffic. It, starts from the collection of traffic flow information and then feedbacks real-time traffic to user achieving the goals of accelerating speed in road, and makes the Management of urban traffic more rational and scientific than before. In other words, Technology in Information Collecting and identifying figures out a brilliant expectation in academic, in reality.In this essay, there is an analysis and comparison about the current applied Smart Phone Platform and navigation Software. Then, introduce the various kinds of Traffic information collection technology and the focused comparison of merits & drawbacks. Through the analysis of system architecture and component model of the Android platform, master the composition and working mechanism of Android applications. Lastly, taking traffic inflows data analysis, average speed Algorithm, average speed and trip times into consideration, the final conclusion would be reached.Above all the analysis, design and develop a navigation system is highly depending on the Android platform and Google Map API. It is, actually, based on the C/S schema as well. As for client, it owns more than 10 features to simplify the functional module, like logging in, self-localization, the place searching, Map loading, routines showing, navigation, voice prompting,voice recognition, information of traffic flows uploading, and traffic showing. Correspondingly, it achieves functions such as Web Map Applying, Analyzing, Saving and Coping would also be supported at the service platform.For simplicity, this system is user-friendly, conveniently, extensional and practically. After the test, it could meet the basic needs of navigation service for users consistently as well.
