At present, the networking equipments have been assembled by GDCATV in the apparatus rooms for the SDH provincial backbone transmission network which links 21 prefectures, cities and some countries in Guangdong province. The networking equipments need no-break power supplied by different switching power equipments of different brands. Thus, the switching power equipments are vital to ensure the unblocked running for the communication system. they do orderly, the networking equipments can , which firstly causes the system failure, the worst is to lead to the disruption of the entire system. In order to keep entire communication system smoothly, the switching power centralized monitoring system has emerged as required. IfnotworknotworknormallyTo monitor and manage all the switching power equipments in the prefectures, cities by the center apparatus room in Guangzhou and realize the management network, on the basis of the recent conditions of the network management in GDCATV, this paper focus on the centralized management for all the switching power equipments unified in one network platform , which is of in raising management standards , promising the hidden danger in time, solving problems in platformgreatsignificanceadvance and ensuring the normal running for the equipments.This paper describes the method and process of the development in detail, as well as the theory summary and expansion, as which provides a feasible strategy for the network management unification. At first, the thesis introduces the condition of GDCATV network and the SDH technology, meanwhile, analyses the present situation of the monitoring system of the switching power equipments. Secondly, key technologies and equipments adopted in the process of development are illustrated, such as the functions of serial port server,Windows Socket programming technology,WEB interface technology for remote management and Zhu Jiang power monitoring module communication protocol. At the third part, the thesis has presented the design principle, ideas of project and overall design for the unify power network management system, and offered detail instruction for the specific design of every functional module in the network platform, including Zhu Jiang power Data collection,Emerson power Data collection,The displays module,Remote control management,System management. At last, the system running case is introduced and the process and technology of the system development are given a summarization. The paper also proposes the perspectives for the further improvement and development in the consequent work.
