ABSTRACT: This paper is the landscape project of my tutor. We develop X-ray security inspecting system cooperating with High Voltage technology Institute of Beijing Machine Electrical Institute.This paper mainly introduce the power system for inspecting system. The paper adopts the method of combining theory and practice, Theory directs practice while theory is improved during practice. The paper investigated the principle of generating X-ray and the V-I character of X-ray. Through investigating market, we obtain various requirements for power supply system for X-ray such as high power factor, computerization, being intelligentized. Based on these performance requirement, the paper designed APFC (Active Power Factor Correction) to raise power factor of power supply system, designed TOP power, reducing PCB space, to support various voltage for different ICs (Integrated Chips), designed KV and MA controller based on PI adjuster without static error so as to adjust cross voltage and through current of X-ray tube, especially the KV controller adopted different topology from the former power system with resonant soft-switching and less switching power loss, designed communication circuit based on RS232 protocol to communicate with senior computer, programmed humane-machine interface using C++ language by VC6.0 to allow worker to supervise and adjust the voltage and current of X-ray power supply system and to find various real-time faults. During the period of debugging power circuit, much EMC problems occurred. The paper analyses these problem in detail and presents solutions. Presently basic function of power system has been accomplished and pwer system can continuously work for above 10 hours.
