This paper has conducted following researches:1. This paper analyzes the current status of a major Fast Moving Consumer Goodsenterprise, and its goals in implementing the business intelligence application, extracts thebusiness requirements and system requirements of the application. 2. This paper completes the overall architectural design of the system. In the bottomlayer, uses the SLT component to extract the incremental data change within the enterpriseERP system in real time via trigger based replication. In the middle layer, uses SAP HANAplatform as the data warehouse to manage the data and perform data modeling. In the frontlayer, uses a variety of Business Objects reporting tools to realize the visualization of bothdynamic and static data reports, fulfills the analysis need for different levels of user.3. This paper completes the detailed development of the application. First finds out theERP source tables that need to be extracted, and utilize the trigger based method to extract theincremental data change in real time. Then we finish the topic and granularity design of thedata in data warehouse, and construct the star schema based dimensional model and factmodel within the data warehouse. In the end, we use a variety of data presentation tools toconstruct a complete reporting system, providing different levels of data presentation andanalysis for users with different reporting needs, and provide strong support for managerswho need to make effective decisions.4. This paper performs an end to end process, including source system data creation torelevant reporting, to verify the feasibility and effectiveness of the application designs that'sintroduced by this paper. And shows some of the advantages about data extraction, datamanagement, analysis reporting, application deployment of the design. This paper researches about the application of business intelligence technologies in theFast Moving Consumer Goods enterprise, provides strong support for enterprise managerswho need to make rapid and effective decisions based on enterprise daily operationalactivities, and shows a referable design and feasible practice for other Fast Moving ConsumerGoods enterprise who are working on solving similar problems...
