Application Of Business Intelligence On Bus Industry

The enterprise information level in China keeps improving and the industry competition is getting more and more intense. Therefore, how to utilize the Data Warehouse and Data Mining to find out the characteristics in business, discover the daily operating regulations, analyze the exiting problems and offer the scientific basis for decisions of strategic importance through the accumulative business data analysis of the enterprises becomes a crucial issue concerned by many enterprises. The public transportation enterprises in China shoulder the social responsibility and must pay attention on their own economic benefits simultaneously. As a result, to improve the quality of enterprises' service and enhance their operational capability and competitiveness, establishing a business intelligence system that fits into the characteristics of public transportation enterprises is of great significance.This article mainly analyzes the basic theory and technical characteristics of business intelligence. Based on the specific needs of enterprises, it carried out design and implementation of a business intelligence system. The latter is the focus.This paper outlines and analyzes the background of business intelligence and development at home and abroad. It analyzes several core technologies of business intelligence: Data Warehouse, OLAP, Date Mining and Reports.This paper discusses the implementation process of business intelligence project in the bus industry in detail. According to analyze the business needs of Public Transportation Corporation in Xi'an and combine the characteristics in bus industry, it carries out a solution of Bus Files DW/BI system, including design and creation of Data Warehouse and OLAP, as well as the application of Data Mining. Among these, Data Warehouse is the basic of a business intelligence system, this paper analyzes its design and points out the important issues in the process; OLAP plays an important role in business intelligence, its main task is dimension modeling. In the aspect of Data Mining, this paper describes the selection of Data mining algorithms and the process of Data Mining, it combines with the enterprise's business needs to achieve correlation analysis of repair categories and fault categories in the process of bus maintenance.
