The mobile communication development has experienced twogenerations, the second generation of GSM mobile communication system isthe world operation main mobile communication system, but in constructsand develops first generation of and in the second generation of mobilecommunication system process, our country is in the passive position in thetechnical aspect. Do not grasp the core technology, and had to use someoneelse's patent, and thus pay$10billion on a subset of mobile communicationsstandards for intellectual property rights. On June30,1998, China hassubmitted the TD-SCDMA third generation mobile communication systemstandard to the international electricity association. This standard is listedofficially as in March16,2001one of third generation mobile communicationsystem standards. This is the first time in China in the past century in thehistory of communication, indicates that China has entered the world'sadvanced level in mobile communications technology. At present ChinaMobile communication group has been operating the system. TD-SCDMAtook the third generation mobile communication system, in data serviceability, the network security, as well as the support pronunciation and in thedata service concurrent function, compares the GSM system to have thewidespread superiority. However, because GSM systems around the world arewidely used and popular, coupled with the construction and perfection ofTD-SCDMA system will take time, in China within a short time we will be ina situation of coexistence of two systems. Therefore, we introduced theconcept of dual-mode, the so-called dual-mode, that is, on the GSM and TD-SCDMA system exists at the same time, to complete the two systems ofautomatic roaming, or switch. So it is necessary to carry out the two systemsare interdependent, roaming and switch to conduct timely and effectivemeasurement system varies from is the most important.This paper studies and research related to GSM and TD-SCDMAsystems standard3GPP Protocol, as well as with existing platformarchitecture on a single chip, for single-chip dual-mode system, designed withthe gsm system of td-scdma system synchronization and measurement processoptimization, as well as proposed the glide frame observation law and basedon this method position track plan. Finally, to measure the timeliness andeffectiveness as a measurement of testing standards, combining the characterof GSM system of each State, depending on the design and put together aprogram, and specific addresses in the GSM system in each State a timely andeffective completion of measurement of the specific implementation of theTD-SCDMA system, study of the method for integration of TD-SCDMA andGSM evolution is of great significance.
