Research And Implement Of RLC/MAC Of GPRS/EDGE Protocol Stack In Dual-Mode Terminal Test Set

GPRS/EDGE are the most frequently and widely used packet switch systems in 2G mobile communications network. Along with the 3G mobile communications system being commercialized, the convergence of 2G and 3G communications system is imperative. GPRS/EDGE terminal test set, which is a plus of TD-SCDMA terminal test set, intends to achieve RF conformance test of GPRS/EDGE mobile terminals.Protocol stack software is the core of terminal test set softwares. Based on research of GPRS/EDGE protocol stack and software architecture of the test set, this paper analyses the functions of network side of GPRS/EDGE system, proposes implementation method of GPRS/EDGE protocol stack.This paper mainly analyse the design method of RF conformance test of GPRS/EDGE Multi-mode terminal. Using multi-module multi-thread design GPRS/EDGE protocol stack and between of different thread communicate using message queque,signal,share memory.The achievement of this paper has been put into practice in Multi-mode terminal test set and gained positive effects in market.
