In the R&D area of mobile communication terminals, the simple voice calls have been unable to meet the demand of users. The desire of a mobile phone integrated multimedia and dual-card dual-standby adds a new topic for the field of mobile terminal research and development. This article basing on the research on the key technology of ARM technology-based chipsets MT622x talks about the design and implementation of the GSM net based dual-card dual-standby multimedia cell phone.Firstly, a detailed introduction on the construction of a single-card and dual-card is presented and a comparison is made between them so that a deep understanding of the cell phone system is achieved. After that, with the experience of practical project, the author put forward a design proposal of a dual-card dual-standby multi media functioned cell phone according to the project requirements. Following that, the working principles of the double system, RF module, power management, audio module and so on are discussed. Lastly, the model cell phone which is applied with all the technology discussed was produced and tested. The article is a summary of a number of ways to study and work experience. And there is strong practical experience for the following product development.
