Parallel simulation used for military purpose usually need to execute multi-sample in scenario space, thus researchers involved in the activities have to generate large amount of simulation samples by scenario editing at first. The current exist scenario editing and generating systems are always used for the special utilities they serve, most of which have fixed scenario parameter structures and setting interface, thus each of them is not able to used as a universal scenario system. In addition, most of the systems are not designed to editing and generating multi-sample scenario parameters, so they are not able to fit the requirement of parallel military simulation. Thus, the study of technologies for parallel military simulation has a quite important meaning of enhancing multi-sample scenario editing efficiency, satisfying various demands of scenario editing, and advancing parallel military simulation's development.According to the characteristics of the parallel military simulation, the key technologies of scenario editing and generating for them are thoroughly analyzed in the paper based on analyzing current existing technologies. Major works and innovations are as follow:1.The current existing scenario editing and generating systems are always used for the special utilities they serve, most of which has poor efficiency on multi-sample scenario generating also, which are not able to satisfy the expanding demands of parallel military simulation's development. To resolve the problem, the paper proposes a framework for parallel military simulation's scenario editing and generating system. The framework is layered architecture in which the modular in upper layers can call the functions offered by the modular in the lower layers. The modular in the architecture are loose coupled and standard interface is offered between them. The system is easy maintenance and has good expansibility.2.The current existing scenario editing and generating systems are always used for the special utilities they serve, most of which have fixed scenario parameter structures and setting interface, thus each of them is not able to used as a universal system. To resolve the problem, the paper proposes a universal scenario parameter editing approach based on parameter template, which builds parameter setting interface by parsing formatted parameter template files provided by the users. The approach allow users to editing and generating scenarios according to the particular demands of the simulation utilities, which satisfies the demands of universal editing and generating scenarios.3.The current exist scenario tools could generate only one scenario at one time editing, multi-sample scenario's generating requires users to editing several times, which has a poor efficiency and error vulnerable. To resolve the problem, the paper proposes a high efficient multi-sample scenario editing approach. The approach provides a value list selection to each scenario parameter and several assistant algorithms to generate parameter value list. Multi-sample scenarios can be generated automatically by the system combining each value list itself. The approach enhances multi-sample scenario generation efficiency evidently by reducing repetitive manual work.Based on the above research, the paper designed a scenario editing and generating system for parallel military simulation based on YH-SUPE. It is indicated that the system can build parameter setting interface by parsing parameter template files automatically and combines parameter value list that generated by the assistant algorithm to generate multi-sample scenarios, which satisfies the universal and multi-sample demand of parallel military simulation.
