In recent years,The combination of Intellectuals and mass media, has been an important phenomenon in China.The speech of intellectuals, has of no dout ,offered the media an chance to enhance the quality and effects of their content, and at the same time offered the audience an access to knowledge and "Enlightenment". However, intellectuals, who represent the rational culture has a fundamental contradiction with the media, which represents pleasure cultures, and this seems to be irreconcilable contradictions. Therefore, The speech of the intellectuals ,will inevitably be distorted and alienated.This article focuses on the mechanism and cause of such alienation . Subject to multiple forces, media is a field or platform. its main control powers,are political authority and power business. They make the medium a "super-ideology", as Marcuse mentioned,which does not allow the voice of opposition and negation. This will inevitably harm the interests of ordinary people and damage the value and principles that intellectuals hold on. Under the shadow of this super ideology, the speech of intellectuals will be subject to political authority and be silenced, and the distortion of commercial power to produce strange results.In the previous articles, based on the definition of intellectuals and testing the new order, that the essential characteristics of intellectual and social roles, listing the history of the various relations between intellectual and media. In the third chapter of this article,I analyze the four mechanisms and underlying causes of alienation, in the end of the article I also analyze How the combination of intellectuals and the media could revert to a rational way, which the intellectuals and the media might treat it as a good reference.
