As a natural disaster to human beings, Lightning has caused great disaster and brought threats to our survival environment and civilization, so the research about lightning has a profound significance.This article mainly studies optical lightning image monitoring, the management and transmission of multi-station lightning detection data. The author designs a lightning monitoring application system software using the visualization development tools Visual c++ , as a part of the lightning detecting equipment in light spectrum. This thesis expounds the designing process of the optical lightning image monitoring software. The whole software can be divided into two parts: lightning image capture and data management.Lightning image capture module is responsible for taking photos of real-time lightning image while receiving lightning trigger pulse. It can also receive and process lightning pulse data at the same time. The module of windscreen wiper controls the openning and stop of windwiper in front of lens ,in order to ensure that lightning image can be clearly photographed. The controling part uses the Second-Development Kits functions attached to the IO-card for the programming,Data management module can be made up of three parts: lightning data receiving and processing, parameter modification of lightning pulse judgment module and data uploading. This module can receive and process lightning pulse data and image through serial communication, finally upload them to the central station. Users can modify configuration parameters of upfront lightning judgment circuit according to the actual situation.Finally through actual test, the whole software system can realize the collection and transmission of Lightning data.
