Whether in military or in civilian,the uncooled infrared imaging system occupies an important position the development of infrared imaging system because of its small size, light weight, low power consumption, easy to carry, and many other advantages,. In fact, uncooled infrared imaging technology has a broad future direction of development. now.Uncooled infrared imaging system consists of uncooled infrared detectors and a pre-processing imaging system which pre-process datus of image output from uncooled infrared detector before they conveyed to the next part Because the current level of technology and materials science is not good enough to reach the level of development can produce a completely flawless non-uniform infrared detectors, so increasing a infrared pre-processing step is a must.This article is to designing an uncooled infrared image pre-processing system. Firstly, I analyzed the characteristics of the infrared images and uncooled infrared detectors as well as its shortcomings, then based on this, I analyzed and selected the algorithms of non-uniformity correction, blind point compensation, image enhancement and image magnification, and then studied pre-processing system hardware structure of the development, In line with small, low-cost, high-performance thinkinga and according to design requirements, I abandoned the classical DSP + FPGA hardware architecture, present a FPGA-based uncooled infrared image pre-processing.Because of cutting off an component the costs and volume are reduced In accordance with design, I product the hardware platform. According to the selected algorithms,of the non-uniform correction, blind point compensation, image enhancement and zoom all functions of the system are implemented on the hardware platform . As a result of high-speed image processing hardware architecture, the entire system to meet the requirements of real-time, the pre-processing effect is obvious.
