In the virtual test verification system, the buses or protocol of many heterogeneous subsystems and physical equipment could not comply with each other , while the two parts are required to be connected one another. In view of the problem of the current protocol conversion equipment'poor real timing character, this dissertation carried research on general protocol conversion equipment to realize the rapid real timing connection.This dissertation researched the format and the conversion of common protocol in virtual test system , created the general way of describing and mapping protocol based on the three hierarchies of frames, elements and bits, and established protocol storage method which can find the information of protocol efficiently. On the basis of that method, this dissertation proposed the overall program of general protocol conversion equipment.On the hardware aspect, on the basis of standard core architecture of high-performance DSP +FPGA, this dissertation designed different bus interfaces such as Ethernet, 1553B, UART (RS232/RS422/RS485). And the author designed the EMIF interface in FPGA to attain the control of DSP to all the buses and also 1553B, UART serial signal decoding unit, to achieve the 1553B, UART and other types of bus physical layer transceiver. And this dissertation also designed the identify frame header and frame end unit, to achieve hardware identification of different protocol and greatly improved the efficiency of protocol decoding, and return different interrupts to DM642 by classes. On the software aspect, the dissertation made use of multi-threaded DSP programming under real-time operating systems DSP/BIOS to design process threads based upon functional requirements, and implemented software features by thread scheduling. Besides, the author developed a PC network driver, to achieve an agreement through the network load and network data transceiver functions.Finally, this dissertation gave explanations to some problems and solutions while the debugging general protocol conversion equipment, and tested the hardware part of this equipment.
