USB storage systems based on DM642 is an important component of VFMDM642 digital image processing system- over-the-horizon look-out system. First, the paper introduced the digital image processing system architecture, which is the basis for software design. VFMDM642 used classic DM642+FPGA's program, while using original ISP1761 USB-OTG chip for video transmission and storage. The design established USB host system and file system on the U disk operation in the embedded systems. It greatly enhanced the real-time processing ability of the look-out over-the-horizon system to adapt in any weather and geographical conditions so that we should not carry computers to can complete the video and images collection. Then the paper analysed the hardware platform: structural characteristics of: DSPDM642 and the ISP1761. Familiar with the whole DSP embedded systems is the first step in software design. The development from single-chip to DSP requires a long and difficult process.Papers based on the use of CCS v2.2 development with an in-depth research on DSP/BIOS Driver Development Model and RF5 Framework. It is suitable for multi-tasking data acquisition and transmission of the processing, and has set the priority of different tasks functionthe. It lays a good foundation of wider use of the system.Bfore the development of USB host system and OTG function module, I read and translated a large number of agreements and information: USB 2.0 protocol, OTG protocol, Mass Storage Class protocol and FAT file system. It is a very tedious work and requires patience. After the completion of this work, the entire software development are up.The core of the paper achieved the USB-OTG protocol with CCS. Using a GIO d river development model, I achieved the USB host system, and design to the completion of the USB device enumeration, configuration and so on layer-by-layer based on fully understanding of the level of the structure of USB systems,. At the same time, the use of OTG featured a conversion of master-slave role. Finally, with the analyzing of the FAT32 file system and the appropriate cutting I designed a more appropriate file system for embedded systems. A file system interface with the DSP system was established. The innovation of the papar is completion of U disk read and write in the DSP embedded USB host.
