As a result of the progress of global informatization, more and more enterprises have implemented ERP system to manage the whole business in an overall and integrated way. But the real effect is not as good as expectation, users always doubt why we implemented this ERP system with such a large sum of money, but those remaining problems still can't be solved, especially for the ones which are highly related to the special business in the company. And as a result, customers aren't satisfied with the ERP implementation because they can't get any benefits from ERP system, while ERP system can't have its own function but be regarded as a tool of storing data. Thus, those industry consultants begin to research how to resolve special domain business so as to have a biggest effect during ERP implementation in some industries.This paper summarizes some special requests on the system of pharmaceutical sales industry from its material requirement and management, sales and purchasing planning business process characteristics. These special functions can't be implemented through the standard customizing even if for the powerful SAP/ERP system. After analyzing the current situation and existing problems of ERP informatization in pharmaceutical sales industry, I try to extract some representative informatization requirements for those special business processes, such as how to optimization manage valid period of medical reagent, how to match and manage SFDA (state food and drug administration) certification information automatically, how to distinguish the stock of sales BOM and other separated selling of medical instruments. These business processes are very typical in pharmaceutical sales industry, but always be ignored during implementation cause they are not included in common standard solution for pharmaceutical sales industry in SAP Best Practice. In order to make up this kind of vacancy, I try to give the corresponding solutions and implement the above requirements in the system, including blue print for business specification, fit-gap analysis, designing and implementing, testing and going live. There is kind of research for business process re-engineering, special customizing and add-on development as well, so that SAP implementation for these special business processes in pharmaceutical sales industry can be successful in the end.Succeed in the implementation for these functions can satisfy those special requirements in pharmaceutical sales industry, thus those business processes of the pharmaceutical sales industry can have more standardization, and the system will be also more adaptable to all kinds of individual business requirements. It plays a great role on the whole supply chain management and operation, gives more operation ability and economic effectiveness to the whole enterprise. These special requirements can give some reference to the other enterprises with the same business type because of their representativeness. So that it is very valuable and promotable to research on the implementation and application for pharmaceutical sales industry special business based on SAP/ERP system.
